Is there an area where you list the gear you're using to tape these days?
I just got a fun and powerful little recorder: Tascam DR-2D. Used it to record some events last week. It did OK through a soundboard, but there were a few issued with the mixer. It was a back-up recording. I like the onboard mics for interviews.
Now looking at getting more recording gear. Have spent too long searching online. That TASCAM will be a back-up. Looking at Sound Devices 702 which would be used mostly in video applications. Hey, here's some news for you. Last summer I recorded an interview in a South France vineyard that was shown on national TV in Japan a few months ago!
Not much chance to record musical shows these days. Working a lot on interviews for video. Also working on interviewing teachers about teaching techniques which doesn't require anything more than my handy TASCAM. Hello, I've even turned on the built-in mic of my laptop sitting on a coffee table for those situations and gotten what I needed.
